He then played the leading role of Veer in Yash Chopra's Veer-Zaara, which was the biggest hit of 2004 in both India and overseas.[32] Khan's performance in the film won him awards at several award ceremonies. In that same year, he received critical praise for his performance in Ashutosh Gowariker's Swades, which won him the Filmfare Best Actor Award for the sixth time, although the movie was a box office failure. He was nominated for the Filmfare Best Actor Award for all three of his releases in 2004, winning it for Swades.[32]Khan's only movie release in 2005 was the fantasy film, Paheli. Shahrukh!! Plz don’t do it!!!

IPL, Om Shanti Om, Zee Cine Awards, Kya aap paanchvi pass se tez hain, TV ads, movie ads, awards, ShahRukh Khan is all over it!!! All dailies and tabloids keep flashing his photographs all over their pages!!I mean, agreed that he is the most charming ambassador any brand can ever get; I too am a bigggg fan of this guy, but……………….Over-exposure can do you in, Mr. Khan!! Just like it did Amitabh Bachchan in!Yes, SRK is the most sought-after name for any event/show; but that’s the beauty of it! If you keep making yourself available, you’ll be taken for granted, and the ’sought-after’ factor shall diminish!!No Amruta SRK is not wrong in being all the shows.Ur Conclusion that he will be taken for granted and sought after thing is totally incorrect. His star appeal and all that blah blah wil only diminish when he stops improvising himself and re-inventing himself!!AB appeal has diminished not becaz he has been over exposed, its becaz he has done nothing new off late.Probably his last good movie was BLACK.In the same way now if SRK does not beat himself after Chak Dee..Then he fails.SRK is right,he is his only competitor!!

And, Dada has accepeted it. Now, it is pretty interesting to see how the Team backed by Shah Rukh Khan would do on ground. We hear that Vishal-Shekhar, the bollywood music composer with hits to name like "Om Shanti Om" under their belly are composing theme for the Team. And, one more thing, did you the sponsor logo on the suits they are wearing? Yes, Belmonte. Shah Rukh is brand ambasdor to the company.Shahrukh!! Plz don’t do it!!!

Don - The Chase Begins Again

Don - The Chase Begins Again, directed by Farhan Akhtar, is a remake of the blockbuster 1978 film, Don. The film was released in India on October 20, 2006 and it was also simultaneously released internationally. It received a very good response worldwide, and collected over Rs. 30 crores in India in its first week itself. The script of the previous film was written by Akhtar's father, Javed Akhtar and Salim Khan (father of Salman Khan).

The film stars Shahrukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Arjun Rampal, Ishaa Koppikar and Kareena Kapoor in a guest appearance. 80% of the movie was shot in Malaysia, and was filmed around the tropical Langkawi island as well as the Petronas Twin Towers and the Jalan Masjid India area, which is the 'little India' of Kuala Lumpur. Akshay Kumar was offered for the role of Jasjit but he rejected saying he might have accepted if he was offered the part of Don.[1] Shahrukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra underwent special martial arts training for their roles in the movie. The film was selected to be screened at the Berlin Film Festival.[2] Critical reaction was mixed, with Variety stating that the film "could have been much better."[3]

Om Shanti Om (film)

Om Shanti Om is a 2007 Bollywood film directed and choreographed by Farah Khan. It stars Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles as the protagonists while Shreyas Talpade, Arjun Rampal, and Kirron Kher feature in supporting roles. Arjun Rampal is the antagonist in the movie. Nearly thirty-two Bollywood stars from yesteryear and today are referred to or appear in the course of the film, including thirty-one of them (not including the stars of the film) in one song alone.Om Prakash Makhija (Shahrukh Khan) is a junior artist in the 1970s film industry. He and his friend Pappu (Shreyas Talpade) are trying to succeed in the film industry. Om’s mother, Bela Makhija (Kirron Kher), inspires and encourages her son to become a success. Om’s love interest is the country's heart throb and star of the film Dreamy Girl, Shantipriya (Deepika Padukone).

Om gets to meet Shanti on two occasions. The first is at the premiere of Dreamy Girl, where he sneaks in after claiming he is the actor Manoj Kumar. The second is on a film set, where he saves her life after the set catches fire. From then on, Om and Shanti become good friends.

One day, Om overhears Shanti arguing with top producer Mukesh Mehra (Arjun Rampal). Om is shocked when Shanti is revealed to be secretly married to Mukesh, and both Om and Mukesh are surprised to learn that Shanti is pregnant with Mukesh's child. Mukesh is adamant that his relationship with Shanti be kept a secret, and tries to convince her that he cannot accept the pregnancy situation because a rich businessman is financing his upcoming film Om Shanti Om, though the truth is that he is planning on getting married to the businessman's daughter. Om is heartbroken and begins to avoid Shanti.

Sharukhan As a producer

Khan turned producer when he set up a production company called Dreamz Unlimited with Juhi Chawla and director Aziz Mirza in 1999. The first two of the films he produced and starred in: Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani (2000) and Asoka (2001) were box office failures.[29] However, his third film, as a producer and star, Chalte Chalte (2003), was the first box office hit from his production house.[31]

In 2004, he set up another production company called Red Chillies Entertainment and produced and starred in Main Hoon Na which was another hit at the box office.[32] In 2005 he produced and starred in the fantasy film Paheli, which was a box office failure.[33] It was India's official entry to the Oscars for a nomination for Best Foreign Film, but it did not pass the final selection. That same year he also co-produced the supernatural horror film Kaal with Karan Johar and performed an item number for the film with Malaika Arora Khan. Kaal was moderately successful at the box office.[33] The latest film Om Shanti Om, which he produced as well as starred in, has done very well at the box office. In 2008, The Red Chillies Entertainment became the owner of Kolkata Knight Riders in the BCCI backed IPL cricket league.

Sharukhan As an actor

Khan studied acting under celebrated Theatre Director Barry John at Delhi's Theatre Action Group (TAG). In 2007, John commented thus on his former pupil: The credit for the phenomenally successful development and management of Shah Rukh's career goes to the superstar himself.[11] Khan made his acting debut in 1988 when he appeared in the television series, Fauji, playing the role of Commando Abhimanyu Rai.[12] He went on to appear in several other television serials, appearing most notably in the 1989 serial, Circus[13] (directed by Aziz Mirza), which depicted the life of circus performers. The same year, Khan also had a minor role in the made-for-television English-language film, In Which Annie Gives it Those Ones, which was based on life at Delhi university and was written by Arundhati Roy.After the death of his parents, Khan moved from New Delhi to Mumbai in 1991.[14] He made his Bollywood movie debut in Deewana (1992). The movie was a box office hit, and launched his career in Bollywood.[15] His performance won him a Filmfare Best Male Debut Award. His second movie, Maya Memsaab, generated some controversy because of his appearance in an "explicit" sex scene in the movie.[16] In 1993, Khan won acclaim for his performances in villainous roles as an obsessive lover and a murderer, respectively, in the box office hits, Darr and Baazigar.[17] Darr marked his first collboration with renowned film-maker Yash Chopra and his banner Yash Raj Films, the largest production company in Bollywood. Baazigar, which saw Khan portraying an ambiguous avenger who murders his girlfriend, shocked its Indian audience with an unexpected violation of the standard Bollywood formula,[18] yet his performance won him his first Filmfare Best Actor Award. In that same year, Khan played the role of a young musician in Kundan Shah's Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, a performance that earned him a Filmfare Critics Award for Best Performance. Khan himself maintains that this is his all-time favorite among the movies he has made.[19] In 1994, Khan once again played an obsessive lover/psycho's role in Anjaam. Though the movie was not a box office success, Khan's performance earned him the Filmfare Best Villain Award.[20]

Biography Of Sharukhan

Khan was born to Muslim parents of Pathan ethnicity in New Delhi, India.[1] His father, Taj Mohammed Khan was a freedom activist from Peshawar, British India. His mother Lateef Fatima was the adopted daughter of Major General Shah Nawaz Khan of the Janjua Rajput clan, who served as a General in the Indian National Army of Subash Chandra Bose.[2]Khan's father came to New Delhi from Qissa Khawani Bazaar in Peshawar before the Partition of India,[3] while his mother's family came from Rawalpindi, also in present-day Pakistan.[4] Khan has an elder sister named Shehnaz.[5] Khan attended St. Columba's School where he was accomplished in sports, drama and academics. He won the Sword of Honour, an annual award bequeathed to the student who embodies most the spirit of the school. He later attended the Hansraj College (1985-1988) to earn an Honors degree in Economics. After this, he studied for a Masters Degree in Mass Communications at Jamia Millia Islamia.[6]After the death of his parents, Khan moved from New Delhi to Mumbai in 1991.[7] In that same year, before any of his flim releases, he married Gauri Khan in a Hindu wedding ceremony on October 25, 1991.[8] They have two children, son Aryan Khan (b. 1997) and daughter Suhana (b. 2000).

In 2005, Nasreen Munni Kabir produced a two-part documentary on Khan, titled The Inner and Outer World of Shah Rukh Khan. Featuring his 2004 Temptations concert tour, the film contrasted Khan's inner world of family and daily life with the outer world of his work. The book Still Reading Khan, which details his family life, was released in 2006. Another book by Anupama Chopra, "King of Bollywood: Shahrukh Khan and the seductive world of Indian cinema", was released in 2007. This book described the world of Bollywood through Khan's life.Khan's life-size wax statue is available in Madame Tussauds wax museum, London, installed in April 2007.[9] Khan has been chosen for the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (Order of the Arts and Literature) award of the French government for his “exceptional career”.[10]

Sharukhan Joins With Ganguly

Today I read in some news website that Bollywood Actor Shahrukh Khan was stopped from entering the dressing room of Knight Riders. He owns the Kolkata Knight Riders team for the Indian Premier League cricket. After this incident he is very upset he told media “I have paid my players to win. Will I pay them now to lose? This is illogical”. According to some news channels, his relation with team captain Sourav Ganguly is not normal especially after the defeat of the team in some matches. He clearly signaled that he is unhappy with the performance of the team. There are rumors that he is planning to sell off the Knight Rider team. But in front of media he is trying to hide these things. He said, “I have seen too many losses and victories in my career.” He also completely denied reports of any cold war with Sourav Ganguly and coach John Buchanan. Knight Riders are almost out of the semi-finals.

They have only two matches left, one with Delhi Daredevils and other with Kings XI Punjab. In my opinion, all the ambitions and desires of ShahRukh to make huge money out of this team has shattered with these couple of defeats and all these incidents are just reflection of his failure of his money making mission. Grow up ShahRukh !!! You are still the number one actor of Bollywood. Why you are wasting your time with Cricket ? Don’t try to put your legs on two boats. Concentrate on the field where you are the best.

Now, more than ever - Korbo, Lorbo, Jeetbo Re

We had started with two outstanding victories to set the pace for IPL 20-20 cricket. Then, four times in a row, we have seen the match being given away at the last minute. The critics were quick to comment, but our war cry has never been silenced. If anything, the thirst for victory is now stronger in us. And our motto is strengthened by the faithful fans who chant along with us, even in our weakest moments, ''Korbo! Lorbo! Jeetbo Re!''We then bounced back with three great victories. After that, we were beaten in Mumbai and then were unlucky with the rain at our beloved Eden Gardens. Now, we are in a position where we can still bounce back and do well in the tournament. It is you, fans, and your generous wishes and comments that have always driven the passion in us. For that, I am thankful. I know that even when we lose a wicket, you will be there to cheer us on so that the batsman heading to the pavilion can walk with head raised, so that the batsman coming in to play can feel encouraged, and so that the opponent knows what incredible force they are up against.
And the fact that we are a force to be reckoned with cannot be denied.
We may have had a few bad days on the field, but the game is still on. We are prepared. I have faith in the invaluable experience of our senior players, and in the endless potential and talent of our younger Knight Riders like Ashok Dinda and Ishant Sharma. They are gems in the rough, raring to show the opponent what they are made of. It is an unbeatable mix.Our captain, Sourav, has been quick to draw attention from critics who think he is not well suited to the 20-20 format. A few outstanding performances, not just with bat and ball but sharp captaincy as well, should answer all those questions. It was a proud moment when he was adjudged Man of the Match. My faith in him and the team cannot be shaken. Also, Shoaib is finally here with the team, and won a match for us against Delhi. His injury is a worry, but I am sure he will recover and play a part in the forthcoming matches. Some big games are coming up, and we need your support. We have had a good start, and a bad patch down the line. But, like in the movies, can you have a truly happy ending without some rough competition in the middle?
